Inauguration of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Thailand

On 11 December 2025, the official inauguration ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Thailand was held with the participation of HE Mr Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and HE Mr Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.
In addition, high-level foreign affairs officials of Azerbaijan and Thailand, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Thailand and representatives of international organizations based in Bangkok participated in the event.

HE Mr Elnur Mammadov raised the national flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan in front of the Athenee Tower building where the Embassy is located. Subsequently, he and and HE Mr Vijavat Isarabhakdi jointly cut the ribbon, symbolising the official opening of the Embassy.
The opening of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Thailand is a historical event in the bilateral relations of the two countries and symbolises their commitment to elevating their partnership to a new level.

The embassy will serve not only as a diplomatic mission, but as a bridge between Baku and Bangkok, the two governments, business communities and people.
Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission in Bangkok aims to enable closer engagement with all Thai partners to enhance political dialogue, strengthen economic and trade ties, promote tourism and deepen cultural understanding between the two counties. The Embassy is committed to maintaining a positive momentum through concrete and tangible projects that will further strengthen their partnership.
